“Yesterday” Beatles
I heard this song for the first time while in high school. One of my English teachers played some Beatles songs for us in class and I was in!
I could already played the guitar pretty well at that time, so I started to accompany some Beatles songs as some of my classmates sang them. Yesterday was one of my favorites. Something special about the melodic and harmonic structure that is hard to describe. The lyrics are a bit too sad for me, but I must admit that there is a great connection between the lyrics and the music: the music really reflects what happens in the music, very well.
This is my own arrangement of this song. I made the arrangement yesterday … get it? (yesterday) … and wanted to share it in here. I am actually going to share two videos, because there is another arrangement I made many years ago. Maybe you can notice some differences between the two arrangements.
