Gibson ES137 Electric Guitar

I’ve been borrowing this Gibson ES137 for a while and it is now time to give it back. Not before I record a few more measures with it.

My understanding is that the ES137 was a limited factory run and is no longer in production. This model was in production between 2002 and 2013 and was made in Gibson’s custom shop in Memphis.

What you get with the ES137 is a traditional semi-hollow-body guitar with a single cutaway, combined with the sound of a Les Paul Classic.

This particular instrument has seen its better days … there are a couple cracks in the top of the instrument, the two strap buttons have come loose, and the selector switch feels a bit insecure when switching from one position to another.

Still, it’s been fun having this instrument for a while. I wanted to play a few measures before I give it back, and I recorded this on my YouTube channel. You can see the video below. I hope you like it.
