Guitar Tutorial: Open-Position Chromatic Scale

This is a short tutorial on how to play the Chromatic scale in an open position on the guitar. The term Chromatic simply means that we are playing all the half-tone notes in a sequence. On the Piano, that means we play all the white and black keys, without skipping any of them; on the guitar, it means that we play the notes in every fret, without skipping any of them.

On the guitar, to play in the open position means that we are playing in the 1st position (1st finger in the first fret) but we are also including the open strings.
