Summer 2022 Update

One of my projects this summer was to finish composing 15 original pieces for solo nylon-string fingerstyle guitar, which I am planning to publish as my first solo guitar album before the year is out.

I do not have an album title yet, but the idea of it is to present moments and glimpses from my typical workday (Monday-Friday), beginning with very early in the morning and ending with very late at night. Hence, the first piece is titled “Sunrise” and the last one is titled “Sunset”.

As of today, I am finished composing and learning each piece in the project, with the next step being to practice the entire set for a few weeks, in order, as if it were presented in a live performance. After I become very comfortable playing through the pieces, I am going to take a few days to record the new album.

This is not my first recorded album and you can see my albums in my SHOP but this IS my first solo-guitar album, and I am looking forward to completing it.

Here’s a YouTube video where I give a more detailed update of my summer work and also go through one of the pieces on the album: “Feast For Six”.
