SOUNDCHECK Kremona Fiesta F65CW

As a Kremona Guitars Artist, this is the second instrument I am trying out and recording on. The first was the Rondo R65CWC and yesterday I unboxed the Fiesta F65CW.

Wow. Just wow. This is not a review/demo post, but I’ll just say that this guitar looks, feels, and sounds amazing. Absolutely amazing. The increase in price is certainly reflected in the differences one can see, feel, and hear in the instrument, plugged or unplugged.

I was able to plug this into a Roland AC33 Acoustic Amp (via an M-Audio MobilePre Audio Interface) and do a soundcheck earlier today. I must say that I am very impressed. The thing that stood out to me immediately was the balance between the trebles and the basses … that balance is often lacking with other acoustic-electric classical guitars, and if you play Classical repertoire as I do, you will notice that right away. Not with this guitar though! I was very happy with the balance, and I was able to get a pretty decent sound without too many effects.

I am not playing any Classical repertoire in the video below; I just wanted to do a brief soundcheck to see how the instrument behaves under “my” typical recording setup. My setup is simple: chair, guitar, amp, interface, camera, recording software, and go. It takes me 4-5 minutes to set up and 4-5 minutes to put things away. I do not have the luxury of a permanent recording studio, so I always have to set up and put things away before and after a recording session.

My initial reaction to this guitar is Wow. Just wow. I am genuinely impressed.
